Takata Airbags Recall

Millions of vehicles equipped with Takata airbags are currently under recall. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat and humidity can lead to these airbags exploding upon deployment. These explosions have resulted in numerous injuries and fatalities.

The NHTSA strongly advises vehicle owners to take immediate action to safeguard themselves and others from this critical safety hazard.

Approximately 67 million Takata airbags (priority groups 1-12) have been recalled because these air bags can explode when deployed, causing serious injury or even death. All vehicle owners should:

  • Check for Recalls using your vehicle identification number (VIN).
  • Get the Fix by calling your local dealer; it will be repaired for free.
  • Sign Up for Recall Alerts about any future recall affecting your vehicle.
